We are very pleased to say that our goldendoodles have the sweet and eager to please disposition of a golden retriever.  Our F1 pups are 60% golden retriever and 40% poodle because both the dams of our breeding pair Aspen and Rio are retrievers.  They still have non-shedding coats, but, as a bonus, we got the calm, agreeable personality of the goldens.  Even our F1b pups are very mellow and calm, and are often trained as assistance dogs or shoot over hunting dogs because they are not easily excited.  However they are very intelligent as poodles are.  The combination of intellegence and eagerness to please makes these pups easy to train.
