Why is Taos Dood Ranch such a good choice for getting a puppy?
AnswerAt Taos Dood Ranch we raise each litter by hand with loving care. They stay with their mother indoors in their whelping box until they are six weeks old and their mother is ready to wean them. When they are ready for puppy chow they are ready or outdoor potty training. Our stud dog Rio is the one we call the "Duty Daddy." We put the pups with him in an enclosed, roofed, straw lined kennel with access to the large kennel yard. Rio gently trains and civilizes the babies, teaching them what dish they may eat from, where they can nap, and where they can relieve themselves. By eight weeks they can be on their own indoors with supervision. Also Taos Dood Ranch is located high in the mountains of Northern New Mexico where the air and water are pure. We have long winters when the ground is frozen for several months. Therefore no parasites can winter over. Our pups have no insect medications because it is not necessary here, so they do not develop allergies to medications. They are not exposed to pesticide, auto exhaust or hazardous materials. The parents of our pups and their ancestors have been genetically tested back generations and are as genetically sound as we can provide. They have no hip or joint problems, skin ailments, heart disease or organ disorders. We want out pups to be strong, healthy members of your family for many years to come. Here is what one of our many satisfied clients wrote: Here is the contact information for the breeder where I got Carmela.

As the Obama's were deciding on a puppy we sent them a letter regarding our pups. Although they ended up chosing a Portuguese water dog, Michelle Obama was kind enough to reespond. |
